Dream: Driving in the snow

In another dream, I was part of a group of undergraduate (roommates?). This is curious, as I have never really been part of such a group before. Anyway, we were all driving, at night, in the snow along a dark and dangerous road–perhaps in Columbus, OH. I don’t believe I know any of the people I was with (in real life). I only have a vague memory of who they were in the dream, but it is possible that they were former students of mine. Anyway, we were all angry because we were told that we had to move out of our apartment / house / whatever.

However, I was more concerned with their driving! I would say slow down, and the driver would speed up! One of the passengers was complaining about being on Kaiser’s plan. I just didn’t want to get killed in a car wreck!

Hmmm… I researched several symbols related to driving in the snow within the dream dictionary. Several of them seem to indicate that I may have a daring attitude but should also “slow down”, and do things in a more attentive manner. Interestingly, “night”, corresponds to “the preferred time to explore the hidden aspects of oneself.” Certainly true for me. On the other hand, I wasn’t the driver, so perhaps this dream is related to self-control, or lack thereof…
