Dream: China on the Moon
Last night I dreamt that China had sent men to the moon, and, of course, left documentation of their achievement. This documentation was a plaque of some sort, metal, in Chinese. I was on the moon, somehow, and I could read it with some difficulty. It stated that China was dissociating itself from the rest of the human world, especially the Americans who had left their earlier “mark”. It was a formal, arrogant, yet meaningful declaration.

Now if I can only learn the language in my waking state…

I know there’s a lot of symbolism in most dreams - my husband is an incredible dream interpreter, scary sometimes. I dream a lot and can usually tell the difference between what I think are symbolism/dealing with life issues stuff, and true journeys to- what, the astral plane or something. Definitely different - also do have quite a few prophetic dreams, usually nothing major, just events, objects or people that appear the next day which then remind me of the dream I had. The recurring ones for me have to do with an end-of-the-world type scenario, usually involving giant tidal waves, great floods and sometimes underwater cities. Ever think - maybe China has or will indeed go to the moon; also, maybe you will teach with aliens and have to escape in the woods!!

Aloha, Angela,
Thanks for your comment!
I’ve never really thought of combining the content of all my dreams in quite that way… Disentangling dream symbolism is certainly an interesting task. Sort of like trying to separate form from function, I guess: The content of a dream (which can sometimes be disregarded by some as ‘day residue’) may or may not relate to some other underlying meaning.
I’m not sure I’ve ever had a prophetic dream, but I do get deja vu quite a bit; perhaps that is an effect of an unremembered prophetic dream?
Hopefully we will not all be inundated by a giant tsunami-type of event! I’m definitely interested in exploring physical and other aspects of the ocean, but I am quite happy to live on land for now…

Thanks for the poetry site, good one…rough day today but all will be well.
Never thought of deja vu as perhaps being unremembered prophetic dreams, but that makes a lot of sense…good one. “Day residue” is certainly a lot of it I think too - though every once in awhile comes that whammy of a vision that sticks with me forever. Talking to a friend today - more of a mini therapy session
- who coincidentally started talking about ‘creating’ dreams, so how surprised was I to read your post today. GREAT one considering there are myths of an ancient worldwide tunnel system accessed by hidden golden doors…did you know that already when you set out on your dreamventure?

Hi Angela,
Actually, I did not know about the myth of the tunnel system. That is really interesting though… Do you know what culture the myth arises from?
It is interesting to observe synchronicities as we become conscious of them. That’s one of the main benefits to forums such as these, I think… Hope things get better soon!
Peace…

There are lots of rumors, myths and legends of underground tunnel systems, both ancient and modern. I have a couple of books, called Underground Bases and Tunnels I believe, but there is a lot out there about it, much unproven. The golden doors is I believe a Masonic legend.

I get a chuckle out of Earthly conspiracy theories about the US voyage to the Moon that never took place. Some people are unsure if that theory was dreamed up itself or not. People wonder why China or the USSR never went. Some slanted views believe too much radiation exists to go there. At least you have no limits in your own mind!

You know, my great-grandfather (whom I barely remember., d. 1984 I think) thought that the Apollo Moon landings were productions Hollywood. In some ways, this point of view is understandable, as he grew up in the days of wooden sailing ships. It really makes me wonder what sorts of strange and revolutionary technology we’ll see 50 years from now or so. …or 500???
