Dream: Books

Last night I dreamt that I was working at home… but I think I was of Jr. High age. I wanted to read a copy of a book my sister, J, had left out. I knew I had a copy of this book, but somehow this one was a better edition. I went ahead and did it because I knew she was preoccupied because my father was yelling at her in order to get her to clean the kitchen. The book may have been “A Way of Being”, by Carl Rogers… In any case, the book seemed important to understanding who I was…

  1. Do you think you could trade “A Way of Being” in your dream for a real copy of “Animal Farm” that your sister stole from us?

  2. Well, actually, I would rather have “A Way of Being”, although I do admire Orwell’s satire a great deal. Anyway, you’ve met J, so you know there will be no bargaining.

Perhaps a critical edition of Animal Farm could be found as a replacement instead…

  3. That would be nice to have a critical edition. Perhaps, Norton makes one? I just hate the inconvenience of updating the book list when books are stolen by family members.
